Mrs. Mobolaji Afisat Bankole
Mobolaji Afisat Bankole is a Principal Executive Officer with Diamond FM, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She joined the services of the University of Ibadan (UI) in 2012 as a Senior Executive Officer in the Office of International Programmes (OIP). She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 1999 and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics in 2002, both from the University of Ibadan. Mobolaji served as the coordinator of the Programme Development Unit of the OIP from 2012 to 2019. She worked with relevant departments and international agencies to develop international programmes and organize seminars, workshops and conferences for staff, students and international visitors. Mobolaji was involved in the drafting and vetting of Memoranda of Understanding, and also coordinated the affairs of the Communication and Liaison Unit. Besides ensuring the maintenance of the OIP website, she wrote, compiled and edited articles for the OIP newsletter and other publications. In 2014, Mobolaji served as a member of the University Strategic Plan and Internationalization Strategic Plan Review Committee. She coordinated the ERASMUS+ programme and the African Humanities Program residencies in UI. Mobolaji also contributed to the application for grants for the UI-DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship programme in 2019 among others. She is an alumna of the Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES) Training Course of the German Academic Exchange Service. Mobolaji has participated in international and local workshops and conferences and has represented the University at exhibitions. Presently, she is the Head of the News unit of Diamond FM, a position she has occupied since September 2019.
